PITTSBURGH, PA — The memory of a late Steelers great lives on with a gigantic pizza named after him that has assisted those in need.

The local Caliente-based pizza chain has donated 13,843.52 to Light of Life Rescue Mission through sales of The Wolfley 73 pizza in its first four months on the menu. That amount from the now-permanent menu offering comes from 75 percent of sales of the special pie from September through December, as well as a $2,000 Caliente contribution from its second-place win the last year's national Tyson Food Great Pizza Give Back Contest.

Wolfley died of cancer last March. He was 66. Wolfley played with the Steelers in the 1980s and
1990s and was the team's color announcer at the time of his death. Last fall, Caliente has launched The Wolfley 73, which consists of red sauce, a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheeses, pepperoni, meatballs, hot honey and parmesan.

Caliente donates 73 percent of all proceeds from this pizza each year to benefit Light of Life, an organization that works with Pittsburgh's homeless and recovery programs.

“The Wolfley 73 was created to be more than just a pizza — it was meant to carry forward Craig’s legacy of generosity and compassion,” said Nick Bogacz, founder of Caliente Pizza & Draft House. “Seeing our guests rally behind this pizza and help us make such a meaningful impact for Light of Life is incredibly powerful. This is exactly what Craig stood for.”
