The 3,651 square-foot Nine on Nine closed in early 2019. It's located in the Penn Avenue restaurant row that includes the Barcelona Wine Bar, Bakersfield, Sienna Mercato, Nicky’s Thai, The Eagle, Bridges & Bourbon, and Whisper.

The restaurant is situated at the entrance to Arts Landing, a four-acre outdoor destination located along Fort Duquesne Boulevard between 9th and 7th Avenues. Recently unveiled in time for the NFL Draft, the destination will host festivals and performances, exhibitions of public art, a family-friendly play area, pickleball courts, running track, and beautiful garden spaces.
