Pittsburgh Community Holding Its 1st Restaurant Week
Nearly two dozen eateries will offer discounts, complimentary items and limited-time menu offerings during one town's restaurant week.

McCANDLESS, PA — Eighteen local restaurants and food businesses have banded together for the inaugural McCandless Restaurant Week, which will occur Oct. 12-16.
Each participating business has created a unique “TOM Special” for Restaurant Week, ranging from discounts and complimentary items to new and limited-time menu offerings.
All anyone has to do to enjoy an eatery's TOM Special is mention McCandless Restaurant Week when visiting any of the participating businesses Oct. 12-16. No registration or sign-up is required.

Restaurant Week also includes the McCandless Restaurant Week Passport, available at participating businesses during the event. The passport features additional offers that can be redeemed through November 30, 2026, encouraging customers to continue visiting local establishments after Restaurant Week.
“We’re excited about the variety our 18 participants are bringing to the table,” said Diane Romanek, Town of McCandless executive assistant, who helped coordinate the initiative.

- Commonplace Coffee at Northland Public Library

- Shabu-Shabu Hotpot & Grill,
- OTB at the North Park Boathouse
- Large Plain Pizza and Pints
- Adzema Pharmacy
- DiBella’s Subs at McCandless Crossing
- Mark’s North Park Lounge
- Bruster’s Real Ice Cream of Ingomar
- Little Viet Kitchen
- YOYO Panda.
Restaurant Week was developed to bring customers to local establishments during what can be a slower time of year for the restaurant industry while giving people a reason to try something new.
“Throughout the process of planning Restaurant Week, we had the chance to visit each of the participating businesses,” said Lizz Venanzi, McCandless community engagement manager.
“I was surprised by just how unique each one is, offering experiences and flavors that many people would travel downtown for, right here in McCandless. We hope Restaurant Week gives people a reason to discover what’s already in their own backyard.”
The event is supported through Main Streets Allegheny, with funding provided by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
