📰 News we're reading
• Barrington Town Council vote recognizes historically significant land (eastbayri.com) — Barrington's Town Council has officially designated the George Street parcel known as Lot 3A as the Nockum Hill Historic Site, protecting a key piece of early American and King Philip's War history. Volunteers and the Barrington Land Conservation Trust are now planning a walking trail, interpretive signs, and habitat stewardship so residents can eventually explore and learn from the site firsthand.
• Deep roster is key to Barrington volleyball team's success (eastbayri.com) — Barrington High School's girls volleyball team is holding its own after moving back up to Division I, sitting at a .500 record midway through the season. With a deep 16-player roster, strong serving, and standout performances from several hitters and setters, Coach Ron Enos is focused less on early results and more on sharpening play for a serious postseason push.
