1. 2 Providence Men Arrested, 1 Jailed After Cranston Traffic Stop (patch.com) — Cranston readers are learning more about a late-night Route 10 traffic stop where two 20-year-old Providence men were arrested after allegedly obstructing officers, with one also facing a reckless driving charge. One suspect was wanted for failing to appear in a felony assault case and is now being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions, while the other was released with a court date.

Man Armed With Stolen Gun Apprehended At Cranston Bowlarama: Cops (patch.com) — Cranston residents are hearing how quick police action at Lang's Bowlarama on Niantic Avenue led to the arrest of a 19-year-old local man who allegedly brought a loaded, stolen handgun into the bowling alley. A struggle with officers drew in state and Providence police, resulting in additional arrests of another 19-year-old and a Massachusetts teen on disorderly conduct and related charges.
   

3. Cranston Woman Stabbed Man In Belly: Cops (patch.com) — Cranston residents are learning more about a late-night stabbing at the Mansion House apartments on Oaklawn Avenue, where police say a local woman seriously injured a man's abdomen. Officers quickly stopped a suspect vehicle nearby on Cranston Street, arresting a Cranston woman on multiple domestic charges and another passenger on several obstruction and disorderly counts, while the victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
   

4. Excitement, anticipation, nerves as RI high school football starts up (newportri.com) — Cranston West football is back on the practice field with quarterback Jonathan Leroux leading a team coming off an 8–4 season and a Thanksgiving win over Cranston East. Coaches and players across Rhode Island, including nearby Warwick and Providence programs, are emphasizing fundamentals, depth, and team culture as the 2026 high school football season kicks off.
