• Cranston Man Charged With Child Molestation: Cops (patch.com) — Cranston residents are learning that 46-year-old Joseph Garcia of Cranston has been charged with child molestation following his Sept. 9 arrest by the Rhode Island State Police Special Victims Unit and Violent Fugitive Task Force. He was processed at state police headquarters and brought to court, drawing attention to how serious child protection cases are handled in and around the city.
   

• Carpionato Group Announces Leadership Change as Major Rhode Island Projects Continue to Evolve (rinewstoday.com) — Major Cranston properties like Chapel View and the former Davol/Citizens Bank complex are at the center of a leadership shakeup at Carpionato Group, one of Rhode Island's biggest developers. As longtime executives retire, questions remain about future uses for the large Sockanosset Cross Road building, the lingering Topgolf dirt pile, and the timing of next phases in nearby projects statewide.
   

• More arrests made in Cranston's Alpine Estates 'nuisance' house (wpri.com) — Neighbors in Cranston's Alpine Estates are seeing more police action at a long-troubled house on Alpine Estates Drive, where two additional men now face animal-cruelty charges over a pit bull kept in filthy conditions. The home, tied by family to convicted drug trafficker Jasdrual "Josh" Perez, has a years-long history of raids and complaints about suspected drug dealing and disruptive parties.
