MA Man Wanted On Bad Check Charge Nabbed In Providence: Cops (patch.com) — State police stopped a 51-year-old Massachusetts man on Route 6 in Providence and arrested him on an outstanding bad check warrant from Tiverton involving more than $1,500. After being processed at the Lincoln Woods barracks, he was turned over to Tiverton police, highlighting ongoing cooperation among Rhode Island law enforcement agencies.

Tile by tile, artists are revamping the Providence Riverwalk (usatoday.com) — Artists are transforming the Providence Riverwalk tile by tile, installing colorful ceramic and painted murals along bridges and walkways downtown while old, crumbling tiles are documented and replaced. Led by local artists and the Providence Parks Department, the Riverwalk Mural Project both beautifies the riverfront and supports the city's arts community, with potential to become a permanent feature alongside future resilience upgrades.
   

3. Passenger killed, driver critically injured in I-95 rollover crash in Providence, RI (nbcboston.com) — A deadly rollover crash on I-95 north near the Branch Avenue overpass in Providence left a 30-year-old passenger dead and the driver in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital. State police say both occupants were ejected when the vehicle rolled over Saturday night, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
   

4. Providence official has collected $128K salary while on leave for 8 months (wpri.com) — A top Providence Department of Public Works official has remained on paid leave since January, collecting a $128,000 salary while city leaders refuse to explain why. The City Council's claims committee has quietly met multiple times about her employment and may finally vote Wednesday, even as residents still remember winter storm cleanup problems and a potential change in DPW leadership after November's mayoral election.
   

5. Claudia L. Delmonaco (pvdeye.org) — Providence residents are mourning the passing of 76-year-old Claudia L. Delmonaco, a Simmons College graduate who built a long career as a self-employed consultant and cherished her travels to Italy. Remembered by cousins, friends, and devoted caregivers, her family suggests memorial donations to Home Health and Hospice Care of Nursing Placement in nearby Pawtucket in lieu of flowers.
