Providence Woman Charged With Conspiracy And Fraud: Cops
She was also charged with obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was arrested on conspiracy and fraud charges, police said.
Valentina Garcia Delacruz, 58, surrendered to troopers at Rhode Island State Police Headquarters and was arrested about 10 a.m. Wednesday on charges of conspiracy, obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses, fraudulent use of a credit card, fraudulently obtaining public assistance, fraudulent use of food stamps and services obtained by fraudulent use of a credit card, the state police said in a media release.
Garcia Delacruz was "processed and transported to Third District Court for arraignment," the release said.
