Wanted Providence Woman Apprehended After Traffic Stop: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — A wanted Providence woman was apprehended after a traffic stop, police said.

Whitney Joseph, 30, was pulled over shortly after 11:15 p.m. Tuesday on Mount Pleasant Avenue in Providence, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Joseph was arrested on a warrant charging her with failing to appear in court for a forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates case, the release said.

Joseph was processed at state police headquarters and later released on surety bail, according to the release.
