Man With Plastic Bag Over Face Poured Gasoline On Warwick Restaurant Fence: Cops

The man with the plastic bag over his face fled after he was confronted, police said.

WARWICK, RI — A man with a plastic bag covering his face poured gasoline on the fence of a Warwick restaurant and fled when he was confronted by an HVAC maintenance man, police said.

Officers responded to Captain's Resto-Bar on Waterfront Drive shortly after 1:15 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a "suspicious male pouring gasoline on the fence of the business," the Warwick Police Department said in a media release.

"The reporting party, who was on the roof performing maintenance on the building's HVAC system, observed a
male approach the property with a plastic bag concealing his face," the release said. "The suspect proceeded to pour gasoline along the business's fence before fleeing the area after being confronted by the reporting party."
