• Westerly Man Charged With Stealing More Than $1,500: Cops (patch.com) — Residents in Westerly may be interested to know that a 59-year-old local man, Richard Peavey, has been charged with obtaining more than $1,500 under false pretenses. State police say the Financial Crimes Unit worked with Westerly Police to locate and arrest him Sunday evening, and he was processed and released with a future court date.
