• Federal small business loans open to local victims of drought (wrdw.com) — Small businesses and nonprofits in Bamberg County can now apply for low‑interest federal SBA loans to cover financial losses from the drought that began April 28. These working-capital loans, up to $2 million with deferred payments for 12 months, can help cover payroll, rent, and other bills, but generally exclude traditional farmers. Applications are open online through January 19, 2027.
