• SC Ports and Army Corps sign feasibility study for upper harbor deepening project (abcnews4.com) — Charleston Harbor could soon see even deeper waters as SC Ports and the U.S. Army Corps launch a feasibility study to deepen the stretch between Leatherman and North Charleston Terminals. The project aims to let all local container terminals handle the largest ships at any tide, strengthening port competitiveness and supporting jobs and cargo growth across the region.
   

• North Charleston woman, stabbed in the eye as a child, inspired new SC seizure first aid law (live5news.com) — A North Charleston woman's childhood injury and lifelong epilepsy journey helped inspire South Carolina's new Seizure First Aid and Epilepsy law, now in effect statewide. The law requires state agencies to post clear seizure-response instructions, and local advocates hope Charleston-area private employers will voluntarily follow suit to better protect workers and visitors.
   

• Robert Lee Trivette (elizabethton.com) — Charleston readers are remembering Navy veteran and longtime local resident Robert Lee Trivett, who was stationed here in 1969 and raised his family in the city. The beloved teacher and mentor later split time with Tennessee, and his family requests memorial donations to St. Jude's or a charity of your choice, with burial arrangements in Johnson City pending.
