WE WANT YOUR OLD BOOKS
Donation Day at the Irmo Library
Are your bookshelves overflowing? Need to make room? The Friends of the Irmo Branch Library, 6251 St. Andrews Road, will accept donations of used books from 9am-12noon on Saturday May 9, 2026.
Books may be dropped off at the curbside at the side entrance to the library, where Friends volunteers will assist in unloading. Or you can bring books to the library’s Mungo Room.
The library does not accept CDs, VHS tapes, magazines/journals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks over 5 years old, travel and computer books more than 3 years old, Readers Digest condensed books, or moldy, damaged or ripped books. Due to storage limitations, we reserve the right to reject donations that we cannot use.
PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF DONATIONS AT THE LIBRARY ANY TIME OTHER THAN THE DESIGNATED DONATION DAYS & TIMES.
Donations supply both the Friends Book Store inside the library and the Friends Book Sales
