Laurens Electric Cooperative Members Reelect Three Trustees at 2026 Annual Meeting (whosonthemove.com) — Laurens Electric Cooperative members recently reelected three incumbent trustees during drive-thru voting at the co-op’s main office on Highway 14 in Laurens. Leaders reported strong finances that enabled returning over $1.5 million in capital credits and highlighted record growth across the service area. Laurens County Council Opens Refurbished Historic Courthouse with Recognitions, Carolina Day Resolution, and Budget Approval (whosonthemove.com) — Laurens County Council has returned to the newly refurbished historic courthouse and advanced next year’s general operating budget while tightening rules on hazardous waste storage. The Clinton Police Department and state education officials are investigating, and district leaders report stepped-up security around local buses.

LDHS's Prescott inducted into SCBCA Hall of Fame (laurenscountyadvertiser.net) — Longtime Laurens District High School baseball coach Ed Prescott has been inducted into the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame, capping nearly five decades tied to the Raiders program. The honor comes alongside his 50th wedding anniversary and follows his earlier induction into the Laurens County Sports Hall of Fame. Former players and current coaches credit Prescott with shaping the program’s hard-working, disciplined identity.
