Dorchester County expands community paramedic program after reaching 1,200 residents (live5news.com) — Dorchester County is doubling its community paramedic staff in Summerville after the program helped more than 1,200 residents in its first year, connecting many to primary care, addiction treatment, housing, and food support. The county plans to hire a second community paramedic this fall, with a January start, aiming to free up ambulances for true emergencies while expanding in-home help and social service referrals.

Two New Para Dressage National Champions Crowned At U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions (chronofhorse.com) — Summerville para dressage rider Elizabeth Welch has been crowned national champion in the Intermediaire I division at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions in Illinois, riding her horse Baltico BRH to a winning freestyle. Her victory caps a powerful recovery journey after an accident and fuels her long-term goal of representing the United States on an international para dressage team.
