Sioux Falls airport expansion nears takeoff (keloland.com subscription) — A major expansion at Sioux Falls Regional Airport is underway, adding a new concourse and boosting total gates to 12 by 2027. Leaders say the project will handle steady passenger growth and pave the way for future upgrades, including a customs facility, operations center, and new restaurant and bar areas. 
2. Annual KELOLAND – Lewis Drug Pet Food Drive (keloland.com) — Sioux Falls pet owners in need can soon get extra help feeding their animals, thanks to the KELOLAND–Lewis Drug Pet Food Drive this Friday outside KELO-TV downtown. Donations collected there and at local Lewis stores will stock the Community Pet Food Bank and support Almost Home Canine Rescue and Dakota Dachshund Rescue.
3. Dunn Barr Sands II, 70 (hubcityradio.com) — Sioux Falls residents are mourning Dunn Barr Sands II, a Parkwood senior living resident remembered for his deep Christian faith, music, and generosity. His family encourages memorial gifts to Feeding South Dakota in Sioux Falls and welcomes cards to a local Sioux Falls address. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Aberdeen.
4. Andy North says Champions Tour players love Minneheha CC (dakotanewsnow.com) — Champions Tour golfers are heading back to Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls for the 9th annual Sanford International in mid-September, and players say they love the classic, challenging layout. Tournament host Andy North highlights how firm greens, rough, and wind make low scores tough, even for four-time champion Steve Stricker.
