Brentwood Asian Spot Scores 51 as Nashville Inspectors Shut Down Antioch Mexican Joint (williamsonsource.com) — Fulins Asian Cuisine on Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood recently received a health inspection score of 51, with 30 violations including mouse droppings, improper food storage temperatures, and plumbing issues. Inspectors embargoed some food and ordered a follow-up within 10 days, while several other Nashville-area restaurants and food trucks also logged relatively low scores and required rechecks.
   

4. WCS Across the Board – September 21, 2026 (williamsonsource.com) — Williamson County's school board just swore in new members, chose its chair and vice chair, and advanced the search for a new superintendent, all decisions that shape Brentwood schools. A former Brentwood High educator received a statewide lifetime achievement honor, while local students and coaches earned major awards. Several budget amendments and policy updates were also approved for the 2026-27 year.
   

5. Today is Dolly Parton Day! See how states, cities are celebrating (usatoday.com) — Dolly Parton Day is being celebrated nationwide today, and it has a special local connection since her primary residence was in Brentwood, just south of Nashville. Tennessee, California, Ohio and several cities are marking the day with proclamations, music events and hospital performances. Nashville is going big with giveaways, themed outfits, and fireworks at 9:25 p.m.
