1. Former Remnant Fellowship Leader Pleads Guilty to Healthcare Fraud (ministrywatch.com) — A Brentwood optometrist and church leader has been sentenced to 42 months in prison after admitting to a multimillion-dollar health care fraud scheme run through her practice, Brentwood Eye Care. Prosecutors say she submitted false claims to Medicare, TennCare and a federal employee program, then used the proceeds for a luxury home and retirement funds. The practice continues operating under a new name, raising ongoing concerns for Brentwood patients and residents.
   

2. Lifeway presents missions offering to IMB and NAMB on behalf of campers (lifeway.com) — A Brentwood-based nonprofit, Lifeway Christian Resources, has presented more than $672,000 in missions offerings to Southern Baptist mission boards, reflecting donations from over 120,000 campers nationwide. While the money supports global and North American missions, it also underscores Brentwood's role as home base for one of the denomination's largest resource providers. Local residents may recognize Lifeway's growing influence and continued focus on youth generosity.
   

3. Local Responders Help Fight Texas' Ross Wildfire (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Firefighters from Brentwood joined crews from Franklin, Murfreesboro, Knoxville, Columbia, and Maury County to battle the massive 90,000-acre Ross Wildfire in Texas. Working grueling 12- to 15-hour days, they learned forestry-style firefighting techniques, protected homes, and built strong camaraderie that could shape future strike teams for major wildfires closer to Middle Tennessee.
   

4. Clarksville clinches second place in District 13-AAA with 5-0 win over Rossview (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Clarksville girls soccer has turned its season around and just clinched second place in District 13-AAA with a dominant 5-0 win over Rossview. Earlier in the year, coach Sara Kluttz toughened the Wildcats by scheduling strong opponents, including Brentwood, to prepare them for this late-season district push.
