• Man holds knife to woman's neck (themountainpress.com) — Harriman police have charged a local man with aggravated assault after a woman reported he held a large kitchen knife to her neck during an argument at a Georgia Street residence. According to the warrant, she suffered a cut finger while grabbing the knife, fled barefoot to her son’s home on Styles Lane, and officers later arrested the alleged aggressor, who remains in Roane County Jail.
