• The Knoxville Focus for August 17, 2026 (knoxfocus.com) — Knox County has officially opened its fifth and final dog park at Clayton Park in the Halls Crossroads community, expanding pet-friendly recreation options for North Knoxville residents. Funded in part by the Boyd Foundation's partnership with the county and City of Knoxville, the natural-style park supports a broader push to make Knoxville and Knox County leaders in dog parks per capita.
   

• Knoxville Pipes & Drums makes history as first Tennessee band at World Championships (actionnews5.com) — Knoxville Pipes & Drums has become the first Tennessee pipe band ever to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, proudly representing East Tennessee.
