• Western North Carolina woman found dead in Lake Chatuge in Georgia (wlos.com) — A woman from Murphy, North Carolina was found dead in Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, and state investigators are now handling the case. Towns County authorities responded after a boater reported finding her body near a dock at Marina Station. An autopsy is pending, and the GBI is asking anyone with information to come forward.
