• White County man faces Hall County charges for financial transaction card fraud (accesswdun.com) — A Cleveland resident has been charged in Hall County with felony financial transaction card fraud tied to a former employer’s credit card. Investigators say several small unauthorized payments, including a wireless bill and a friend’s traffic ticket, totaled about $280 in early December 2025. The man is being held in the Hall County Jail on bond. 
• Teen in custody after attempted vehicle arson in White County (fox5atlanta.com) — A Cleveland homeowner stopped an attempted car arson late Wednesday night on EB Road, leading White County deputies to arrest a 14-year-old suspect the next morning. Investigators say the teen confessed and is now in juvenile detention on arson and terroristic threats charges, while authorities continue to investigate why this particular home and vehicle were targeted.
• Post-Maintenance Flight Proves Fatal for Sport Pilot (generalaviationnews.com) — A fatal sport-plane crash has been traced to a post-maintenance test flight that began at Mountain Airpark in Cleveland. Investigators say the pilot, experienced overall but new to this aircraft model, rotated too early, lost control after takeoff, and stalled at low altitude. The findings highlight handling challenges and risks for local light-sport pilots using the airpark.
