• Rogersville adopts traffic calming policy (therogersvillereview.com) — Rogersville leaders have adopted a new traffic-calming policy and advanced the 2026-27 town budget, including a reduced property tax rate after reassessment. The board also moved to make part of South Hawkins Street one-way and outlined how lodging tax proceeds will be allocated. Ongoing sewer work on Broadway is wrapping up soon, with McKinney Avenue next.

• RCS school board honors standout athletes (therogersvillereview.com) — Rogersville City School’s board paused summer break to celebrate local track standouts, including a state champion and multiple medalists from the TMSAA meet. Members also approved contracts, federal grant items, and a switch to a new online assessment system expected to save money. The director of schools received a new three-year contract, and staffing changes were confirmed.
