County mourns loss of Commissioner Ronnie Allen (themountainpress.com) — Sevierville and all of Sevier County are mourning Commissioner Ronnie Allen, 80, who died Wednesday while serving District 7, Seat A. County leaders praised his public service, ordered county flags at half-staff, and will toll the Historic Sevier County Courthouse bell Friday afternoon as Republicans move to select a replacement candidate for the ballot.

WSCC announces president's, dean's lists (themountainpress.com) — Dozens of Sevierville students have earned spots on Walters State Community College’s spring president’s and dean’s lists, celebrating strong GPAs and full-time course loads. The long list of local names showcases Sevier County’s academic talent across Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Kodak, Pigeon Forge, and Seymour.

Scouting America honors former DA Al Schmutzer Jr. (themountainpress.com) — Sevierville hosted a special Scouting America luncheon Thursday honoring former Fourth Judicial District Attorney General Al Schmutzer Jr. with the Good Scout Award for decades of service. Local scouting leaders highlighted how the program continues shaping Sevier County youth, including girls, to build confidence, character, and resilience in an era of social media and drug pressures.

4. Parked at one of these lots? You may be owed money (wreg.com) — If you’ve parked in a Metropolis-managed lot in Sevierville since mid-2021, you may be eligible for part of a $6.5 million state settlement over unclear pricing and signage. Tennesseans who were overcharged, ticketed, or booted can now file online claims and could receive restitution payments in early 2027.
