• Andrews High School teacher arrested, charge revealed (cbs7.com) — An Andrews High School teacher was arrested on campus on a warrant connected to an online-solicitation-of-a-minor investigation based in Arlington. Andrews ISD police took him into custody without incident, and officials stress that students and staff were never in danger while directing further questions to Arlington authorities handling the case. 
• Dallas researchers find plastic and wrappers in bird nests (dallasnews.com) — Researchers working with the Trinity River Audubon Center and a University of Texas at Arlington lecturer are documenting how North Texas birds are weaving plastic and other trash into their nests. Their growing collection could inform Texas Parks and Wildlife and future educational exhibits, highlighting how litter from city streets and creeks ultimately reaches wildlife habitats across our region.
