• ROLLER MANIA: Record-breaking Texas coaster takes history by the horns (travelindustrytoday.com) — Thrill-seekers in Arlington can now ride Tormenta Rampaging Run, a record-smashing coaster at Six Flags Over Texas that opened this summer. The ride towers 309 feet over the park, hits 87 mph, and features a beyond-vertical 95-degree drop and towering inversions, drawing coaster fans from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
   

• SEUSSICAL JR. to Bring Dr. Seuss Characters to Theatre Arlington (broadwayworld.com) — Families in Arlington can catch a youth production of Seussical Jr. at Theatre Arlington from September 18–27, featuring performers ages 8–18. Weekend shows run Friday evenings and weekend afternoons, with special weekday field-trip performances and group rates available, giving local schools and families several options to enjoy Dr. Seuss's whimsical characters onstage.
   

• Cal Quantrill tosses seven shutout innings as Rangers blank Rays (statenews.net) — Texas Rangers fans in Arlington saw Cal Quantrill dominate the Tampa Bay Rays at home, throwing seven shutout innings in a 6–0 win. Corey Seager's two-run homer and Wyatt Langford's two runs helped the Rangers inch closer to an American League wild-card spot as the team continues a late-season push.
