4. 1,800 North Texans to Pack More Than 450,000 Meals on 9/11 in Tribute to National Day of Service (northdallasgazette.com) — On Sept. 11, Esports Stadium Arlington will host more than 1,800 DFW volunteers packing over 450,000 meals for North Texas families in need as part of the 9/11 National Day of Service. 5. Hillsboro Crash Arlington Residents: 2 Killed in Chain-Reaction Pileup (arlingtonnetwork.com) — Two Arlington residents were killed and two others critically injured in a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash near Hillsboro, prompting renewed safety warnings for local drivers. Investigators suspect alcohol contributed to the initial collision and are still reconstructing the incident, while authorities urge Arlington-area motorists to avoid impaired driving, stay in vehicles after crashes when safer, and use extra caution around farm equipment on rural highways.
