The showcase drew more than 145 North Texas players and highlighted several rising prospects. It also promoted a full slate of upcoming Prep Baseball Texas events across the state.
   

• Dale Ruth (martincountymessenger.com) — Burleson residents are mourning longtime educator and coach Dale Gene Ruth, whose celebration of life is set for 2 p.m. June 11 at First United Methodist Church of Burleson. The 81-year-old devoted church member and retired athletic director is remembered for his mentorship, love of family, and service. Memorial donations are invited for Project PacMin, supporting Burleson ISD students facing food insecurity.
