Corpus Christi Water Makes Progress on Mary Rhodes Pipeline Repair (southtexascommunitynews.com) — Corpus Christi Water crews are working around the clock to repair a damaged 17-foot section of the Mary Rhodes Pipeline, with completion expected by Friday and restart over the weekend. While the line is offline, the city is relying on increased groundwater production and Nueces River supplies to keep water flowing to the O.N. Stevens plant, and officials promise more updates as work continues.
   

2. Texas Wins $52M In Defense Base Grants (dallasexpress.com) — Corpus Christi is set to receive a $17.83 million federal grant to modernize a key water line corridor that serves Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, part of a larger $25.47 million project. The funding comes from a national defense infrastructure program and is expected to strengthen local water reliability, support the base's mission, and bring significant investment into city utilities.

KRIS 6 News journalists visit Zavala Elementary School students for Career Day event (kristv.com) — Fifth graders at Zavala Elementary in Corpus Christi got a close-up look at how local TV news works when KRIS 6 News and KAJA Telemundo journalists visited for Career Day. Students practiced holding cameras, framing shots, and even delivering their own news intros, while also learning about weather forecasting and asking plenty of questions about newsroom life.
   

4. Flour Bluff and Carroll kick off UIL 5A-DI District 15 on Game Night South Texas live on KRIS 6 (kristv.com) — Corpus Christi football fans can catch Flour Bluff and Carroll opening UIL 5A-DI District 15 play tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Buccaneer Stadium, with live coverage on KRIS 6, its website and YouTube. Coaches and players say both offenses are heating up, and Carroll's defense is gearing up to contain standout Hornets running back Sam Smith in this key district showdown.
   

5. WWE's Dominik Mysterio surprises young Pokémon fans at Corpus Christi card shop (kiiitv.com) — A surprise visit from WWE star Dominik Mysterio turned a Pokémon card release at Tronix Cards and Games in Corpus Christi into a memorable meet-up for two young fans. Mysterio opened packs with them, signed cards and boxes, and even pulled a vintage Charizard pack before heading to SmackDown in town, giving local wrestling and Pokémon lovers a story to share for years.
