Crews are sampling throughout the distribution system, checking reservoirs and the O.N. Stevens plant, and urging residents with concerns to call 3-1-1 instead of flushing lines during Mary Rhodes Pipeline repairs.
   

2. Schanen Estates Elementary parents raise concerns over fumes and rodents on campus (kristv.com) — Parents at Schanen Estates Elementary in Corpus Christi are raising alarms about fumes from roof repairs that they say are causing dizziness and headaches for students and staff. Corpus Christi ISD says it is limiting work to after-school hours when possible, placing traps and bait stations to address rodent activity, sealing entry points, and pledging continued monitoring of both issues.

Flour Bluff sweeps Ray in UIL 5A District 29 volleyball; Rockport-Fulton stays undefeated (kristv.com) — High school volleyball fans in Corpus Christi saw Flour Bluff stay undefeated in District 29-5A with a dominant sweep of Ray, even as Ray honored senior captain Destanee Hargis for major career milestones. Rockport-Fulton also remained perfect in District 30-4A, sweeping Miller and setting up a key showdown against London for the district lead.
   

4. What Abbott's data center pause means for the Coastal Bend (kiiitv.com) — Gov. Greg Abbott's pause on new data center permits has raised questions in the Corpus Christi area, but local leaders say the Hut 8 project near Calallen is still moving ahead. City officials and environmental advocates in Corpus Christi are now debating how future data centers should be regulated, especially regarding water use, power demand, and public input on new developments.
   

5. Cheniere's Corpus LNG advances toward massive capacity boost (bigcountrynewsconnection.com) — A major expansion of the Corpus Christi LNG terminal is moving forward after federal regulators released a draft environmental review, opening public comments through November 9. If approved, the Stage Four project would significantly increase export capacity, add new infrastructure in San Patricio and Nueces counties, and further cement the region's role in global energy markets.
