Dallas garbage trucks are sneakily doing more than picking up trash (latination.com) — Dallas sanitation trucks are now equipped with AI cameras that scan properties during trash pickup and help code officers issue citations and warnings, affecting more than 21,000 addresses so far. Many South Dallas residents and community leaders worry the system disproportionately targets lower-income, predominantly Black and Hispanic neighborhoods and misidentifies normal repairs as violations, while city officials defend the program's efficiency and privacy safeguards.

Mo3's Convicted Killer Reportedly Claims He Also Shot Boosie in New Interview (hypefresh.com) — Dallas readers get new details in the MO3 murder case as convicted killer Kewon White, now serving life without parole, claims in a jailhouse interview that he also shot rapper Boosie BadAzz after MO3's 2020 death. Authorities have never publicly tied White to the Boosie shooting near Big T Plaza, so his dramatic account remains unverified and could affect his ongoing appeal.

The widow of Miguel Angel Garcia, now raising five children alone, shares her grief, frequent visits to a memorial mural in Oak Cliff, and ongoing wait for full investigative and autopsy findings.
   

4. Waymo is scaling fast. Here's what the fleet data shows. (techcrunch.com) — Dallas is one of several Texas cities where Waymo is rapidly expanding its robotaxi fleet, as the company shifts major resources into the state. A surge of new "Ojai" self-driving minivans, built on a Chinese platform but outfitted in the U.S., is driving that growth and could soon make autonomous rides a more common option for Dallas residents.
