National Aviation Leaders Convene to Discuss the Future of Flight (fortworthbusiness.com) — Fort Worth residents can hear national aviation leaders discuss air taxis, autonomous aircraft, and new flight technologies at a Texas A&M–Fort Worth event on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026. Hosted at the Kimbell Art Museum's Piano Pavilion, the evening includes a networking reception and panel exploring how advanced aviation could boost North Texas jobs and innovation. 
2. Geoff Hinds named general manager of Will Rogers Memorial Center (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth has tapped nonprofit Gendy Street Management Corp. to take over operations of the city-owned Will Rogers Memorial Center and named veteran venue leader Geoff Hinds as general manager. City and Stock Show leaders say strong management is vital as the historic Cultural District complex draws about two million visitors and anchors Fort Worth's equestrian economy.
3. Data centers want to be sustainable, panelists say. Transparency also in demand (fortworthreport.org) — A recent public forum at Texas Wesleyan dug into how the fast-growing data center industry could affect Fort Worth's water, power grid, and economy, with experts urging more transparency from developers. Panelists highlighted Texas' massive pipeline of data center projects, debated sustainable cooling options, and stressed that local residents and industry must collaborate now as North Texas becomes a national hub.
4. Gov. Abbott reports DFW Airport to Justice Department for discrimination (star-telegram.com) — Gov. Greg Abbott has asked the U.S. Justice Department to investigate Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport over its now-canceled plan to add more ablution stations used for religious washing. The move raises questions about religious accommodation at the region's main airport, which still has one ablution station in Terminal D and interfaith chapels in every terminal serving Fort Worth travelers.
5. Loved ones remember victims of Tuesday's deadly wrong-way crash in Fort Worth (wfaa.com) — A deadly wrong-way crash on a Fort Worth highway killed two women and the wrong-way driver, and left a young child hospitalized. Fort Worth police say a Jeep going the wrong direction hit their car head-on. Family and friends in North Richland Hills are now mourning the victims as the child and another passenger continue to recover.
