1. Turner Completes Texas A&M-Fort Worth Law Building (constructionowners.com) — Downtown Fort Worth just gained a major new academic anchor with completion of the eight-story Texas A&M-Fort Worth Law and Education Building. The 238,000-square-foot facility will host programs from Texas A&M, Tarleton State and Texas A&M School of Law, expanding local options in law, engineering, agriculture and health sciences while kickstarting the broader Texas A&M-Fort Worth campus buildout. 
2. Bob on Business: Workforce housing set for east Fort Worth includes business center, pickleball (fortworthreport.org) — A new 268-unit workforce apartment complex in east Fort Worth has secured major financing, moving Vic Centre closer to construction with amenities like a fitness center, pickleball court and business center. The column also rounds up other regional business moves, from a new Scooters Sports Bar in Bedford to industrial projects in Colleyville and Denton, plus a national entrepreneurship campaign featuring Mayor Mattie Parker.
3. Roaches, rodent droppings during latest Fort Worth health inspection (star-telegram.com) — Fort Worth's latest round of restaurant health inspections turned up roaches, rodent droppings and other violations at several familiar spots across the city. Using a demerit system, inspectors cited issues ranging from pests in kitchens to unsafe food temperatures between August 2 and 15. Residents can review scores and violations to see how their favorite eateries performed.
4. Fort Worth area ropes in Marine One presidential helicopter work (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth-area aerospace workers will contribute to the next-generation Marine One presidential helicopter, with a slice of a $107 million rotor-blade contract handled locally by Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky teams. While most work happens out of state, the project still links Tarrant County to a high-profile White House upgrade and underscores the region's role in advanced military aviation.
5. From the Roads of America to Stockholm: Walk for Peace Carries a Global Message (thelosangelestribune.com) — A cross-country Walk for Peace that started at a Buddhist meditation center in Fort Worth has grown into an international movement, recently earning its leader a World Peace Award in Stockholm. Monks launched the 2,300-mile journey from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in 2025 to promote inner peace, nonviolence and compassion across political and cultural lines. Organizers now hope the message spreads far beyond the original Texas starting point.
