• Armed man who stole Legos in North Texas shoplifting spree gets 45 years in prison (star-telegram.com) — Grapevine police were among several North Texas departments credited with helping stop a large-scale Target shoplifting ring that stole more than $300,000 in merchandise. A Fort Worth man was convicted under Texas’ new Organized Retail Theft law and sentenced to 45 years in prison plus a fine, in what prosecutors say is the first jury trial under the updated statute.
