Plano partnered with Texas A&M AgriLife and regional cities to target pet waste, stormwater runoff, lawn care, and illegal dumping. Residents can expect more education programs and projects aimed at improving water quality and reducing flooding risks.

3. 5 arrested connected to Lewisville apartment shooting, police say (wfaa.com) — Lewisville police say five suspects are now in custody for a Sept. 11 targeted shooting, including one adult arrested in Plano and booked into the Lewisville jail. Investigators worked with Plano police, federal agencies, and Colorado authorities to track the group, who are all charged with murder as extraditions and the broader investigation continue.
   

4. Frisco Counselor Guilty In $26M TRICARE Fraud (dallasexpress.com) — A counselor tied to Acuity TMS of Plano has been convicted in a $26 million TRICARE fraud scheme that prosecutors say targeted service members and veterans with unnecessary or nonexistent treatments. Federal officials allege the Plano-based clinic and others paid kickbacks, falsified records, and misused doctors' identities, leading to about $17 million in improper payments and funding luxury personal spending.
