NTT Data opens cyber security center in Plano (communityimpact.com) — Plano just gained a major new Cyber Defense Center from NTT Data, expanding the company's headquarters footprint and bringing high-end cybersecurity operations to the city. Local and state leaders say the facility will bolster North Texas' reputation for tech innovation and help protect critical government services statewide through advanced threat detection, AI tools, and specialized expertise.
   

4. Texas led the U.S. in school book bans last year with 8,193, according to report (dallasnews.com) — Plano ISD is among more than a dozen North Texas districts that created school library advisory councils as Texas dramatically increased school book bans last year. A new PEN America report says Texas removed over 8,000 titles, often using AI tools, raising questions about how local students' access to diverse stories and perspectives may be changing.
