• Solow Garage can stay in Richardson's Interurban area as city eyes 'edgy' redevelopment (communityimpact.com) — Richardson City Council has granted Solow Garage a four-year special permit to stay on Interurban Street while the city pursues an “edgy and eclectic” design district vision for the area. Officials and the property owner say the BMW-certified shop can operate as a low-impact, interim use, generating revenue and avoiding vacancy while long-term walkable redevelopment plans move forward. 
• 3 people detained for shoplifting, leading North Texas police on car chase using stolen vehicle (meigsindypress.com) — Police say a car stolen in Richardson earlier Monday was later used in an alleged shoplifting and chase that ended with a crash along I-20 in Dallas, though no injuries were reported. Three suspects were detained in Mansfield, and charges including organized retail theft and illegal use of a motor vehicle are pending as the investigation continues.
