The AS&U 100 2026: The nation's largest public school districts (asumag.com) — Round Rock's school district has just been named one of the 100 largest in the nation, joining the AS&U 100 list based on 2024–25 enrollment. That growth puts local schools squarely in the national spotlight and raises big questions about future classroom space, facilities planning, and how the district will manage its expanding student population.
   

2. Check out these new and coming soon businesses in Round Rock (communityimpact.com) — New and upcoming businesses are popping up all over Round Rock, from a seasonal Spirit Halloween shop and new smoothie and dental offices to a coming taproom and IV wellness clinic. The roundup also highlights relocations, rebrandings, and anniversaries for familiar local spots, giving you plenty of fresh options for shopping, services, and dining close to home.
   

3. Lammes Candies returns under new owners, with holiday preorders open now (communityimpact.com) — Round Rock candy lovers now have to order Lammes favorites online, as the longtime shop on I-35 closed in April and no new local retail site has been announced yet. New owners have reopened Lammes for limited holiday preorders shipping nationwide starting November 1.
   

4. The AS&U 100 2026: How enrollment shifts are reshaping school facilities planning (asumag.com) — Round Rock's steady population growth has pushed Round Rock ISD into the nation's top 100 districts, driving a wave of school construction and renovations. A 2024 bond is funding a new Career & Technical Education building, expanded robotics facilities, and major classroom and arts upgrades that will shape local students' learning spaces for years.
