• Deputies seize 116 guns in Victoria County traffic stop (victoriaadvocate.com) — Victoria County deputies seized 116 firearms and arrested a Houston man during a U.S. 59 North traffic stop, alleging the weapons were headed to Mexico. The cache included rifles, handguns, cash and stolen or altered guns, and the suspect now faces multiple felony charges as the investigation continues locally. 
• Victoria County road work continues Monday (crossroadstoday.com) — Drivers in Victoria County should plan for York Road to be closed to through traffic between Golden Glow Drive and Dillon Drive next week, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in Hidden Valley and along nearby streets are advised to use alternate routes via Guadalupe Road or Crouch Road to reach Highways 87 and 185.
