• Access to vet care helps Texas shelters reach no-kill (bestfriends.org) — A new partnership is giving Watauga Animal Services Center free access to vital veterinary care, helping more local dogs and cats become healthy and adoptable. Through support from the Humane Society of North Texas and Best Friends’ shelter collaborative program, Watauga can now secure surgeries and treatments that were once unaffordable, boosting save rates and opening the door for more successful adoptions in the community.
