Township Board approves proposal for MCSO Mounted Patrol Services, Cell Tower Installation (hellowoodlands.com) — The Woodlands Township Board has approved shifting mounted patrol services to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, creating a law-enforcement-based unit that will patrol local areas and support major events. Directors also greenlit new cell towers at Terramont Park, Cattail Park, and Rob Fleming Recreation Center to improve spotty coverage, alongside several routine contracts and reports that shape everyday services in the community. 
2. Market Street celebrates Local Artists at 2026 Fall Fine Arts Show (hellowoodlands.com) — Market Street in The Woodlands will host its 2026 Fall Fine Arts Show on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., free to the public. More than 30 local artists will showcase paintings, jewelry, sculpture, paper art, and more, with a rain date set for October 24, giving residents a full day to browse and support community creativity.

The recognition highlights strong patient safety and care outcomes, giving local residents added reassurance about the quality of advanced medical services available close to home.
4. "Thanks for all the memories, brother": Man found dead in hunting club fire remembered (kfdm.com) — A Spring-based realtor who regularly served clients in The Woodlands has been identified as the man found dead after a wildfire at a Jasper County hunting club. Friends and colleagues remember his relationship-focused approach to helping Montgomery County families, while investigators continue working to determine whether a medical emergency or the fire itself caused his death.
