• 2026 Virginia Farmer of the Year: Glenn Dye (morningagclips.com) — An Appomattox County grain farmer, Glenn Dye, has been named Virginia’s 2026 Farmer of the Year, recognized for his innovative, environmentally focused corn and soybean operation. Dye also leads locally as Appomattox County Farm Bureau president and serves on the county schools’ CTE advisory committee, while a judging panel will visit his farm in August before announcing the overall regional winner.
