Local producers can apply for emergency loans and other help within eight months of the disaster declaration, with officials urging farmers to review eligibility rules and contact FSA offices to navigate the application process.
   

• Virginia officials warn the deadliest days of summer have begun for teen drivers (wcyb.com) — A recent fatal crash on Salem Road in Appomattox County, which killed teen driver Javontae Goodyear, is part of what officials call the “100 deadliest days of summer” for young drivers.
