Man Charged With Malicious Wounding After Columbia Pike Assault: Arlington Police (patch.com) — Arlington police say a 25-year-old man with prior local cases is being held without bond after a serious assault near Columbia Pike and South Dinwiddie Street. The victim suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries, while court records show the suspect also faces a pending felony hate-crime assault charge from a separate Arlington incident.
   

3. Arlington Man, 3 Juveniles Charged After Break-In At Vacant Business: Police (patch.com) — Arlington residents are learning more about a weekend break-in at a vacant business on Arlington Boulevard near Fort Myer, where police say an Arlington man and three juveniles caused property damage before fleeing. Officers quickly tracked down the suspects near Washington Boulevard, charging the adult with burglary and related offenses and seeking juvenile petitions for the teens, with no injuries reported.
   

4. Fatal crash on S. Glebe Road, other recent collisions under Vision Zero review (arlnow.com) — Arlington officials are reviewing last month's fatal pedestrian crash on S. Glebe Road, along with two serious collisions on Wilson Blvd, under the county's Vision Zero safety program. Transportation, public health, and police staff are examining lighting, crosswalk protections, and quick improvements, while the criminal investigation continues and residents press for stronger protections at this busy crossing.
   

5. DC woman arrested in connection with Arlington carjacking: Police (dcnewsnow.com) — Police say a woman from Washington, D.C. has been arrested after an alleged carjacking in Arlington's Colonial Village neighborhood, where a victim reported being threatened and having her car stolen. The suspect was later stopped near the airport, linked to the crime, and is now held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility as investigators seek additional tips from the public.
