Loudoun Man Who Pushed Minor To Make Explicit Videos, Commit Suicide Sentenced

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – A Loudoun County man was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Tuesday for coercion and enticement of a minor, in this case a 14-year-old girl, to engage in illegal sexual activity, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia announced.

Michael David Seeds, 28, of Chantilly, began communicating with the girl over the messaging platform Discord in June 2023 when he was 25, according to court documents. She revealed to him that she was 14 after about a week, but he continued messaging her, creating a new Discord subscription for her with a username that included the word “victim.”

For the next two months, Seeds would solicit sexually explicit images and videos of the girl and direct her to perform sexual acts during live video chats. He eventually encouraged her to take her own life.

Seeds was arrested on December 12, 2025, and released pending trial. He was again arrested on March 11 after violating the terms of his release by drinking alcohol. He pleaded guilty to the charge later that month.
