Loudoun County Supervisors Considering Raising Their Pay: Report
The board of supervisors is weighing a 40 percent increase to their compensation, but it would only take effect after the next election.
ASHBURN, VA – Loudoun County supervisors are considering increasing salaries for the next slate of officials by 40 percent, according to a new report.
Loudoun Now reports that supervisors say the move would bring salaries up to the median income and cost of living for the area.
Currently, a county supervisor is paid $80,540 per year, the vice chair $87,899 per year and the chair $96,610. The increase would bring the supervisor and vice chair salaries up to $116,300 a year and the chair to $127,930 a year. The change wouldn’t go into effect until 2028.
