Man arrested after Bedford County meth bust: Deputies (wfxrtv.com) — Bedford County deputies and the James River Regional Task Force recently arrested a man following an investigation into large-scale meth distribution across multiple Virginia jurisdictions. The suspect was taken into custody during a May 18 traffic stop, and authorities say they seized drugs and other evidence. Multiple local and regional agencies, including Bedford Police, participated in the operation.
4. Virginia Sheriffs' Association announces 2026 award winners for duty, valor and service (wset.com) — A Bedford County Sheriff’s Office investigator has been named Virginia’s 2026 Deputy Sheriff of the Year for his work solving a local homicide that led to a life sentence for the killer.
