Man Pleads Guilty In Road Rage Shooting Of Centreville E-Bike Rider
A Falls Church man pleaded guilty in the May shooting of a Centreville e-bike rider near West Ox Road, prosecutors said.

CENTREVILLE, VA — A Falls Church man pleaded guilty Monday to two felonies for shooting a Centreville man who was riding an e-bike near West Ox Road in May, according to the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
Milad Attai, 26, was convicted of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the May 28 shooting of Baffour Frimpong, 26, prosecutors said.
Frimpong was riding his e-bike when a Toyota Camry driver cut him off, according to prosecutors. Attai got out of the Camry, fired one shot into the air and fired twice at Frimpong as he tried to flee, the office said.

Frimpong suffered a gunshot wound to his diaphragm.
Detectives identified Attai through footage from nearby home surveillance cameras, prosecutors said. Bullet casings recovered at the scene matched the firearm Attai was carrying when he was arrested, according to the office.

Attai agreed to plead guilty during his trial after prosecutors finished presenting their case. The agreement includes a lifetime protective order for Frimpong but does not include an agreed-upon sentence.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2027. Attai faces up to 20 years for malicious wounding and a mandatory three years for the firearm charge, according to prosecutors.
“The defendant’s unprovoked shooting of Mr. Frimpong shows that he is clearly a danger to the community,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano said in a statement.
