• Lidl grocery store might be coming to Plaza America in Reston (ffxnow.com) — Centreville shoppers may be interested that Lidl, which already operates a store in Centreville, is poised to take over the former Whole Foods space at Plaza America in Reston. The lease isn't officially confirmed yet, but site plans show Lidl moving in as part of broader tenant shuffling at the Reston shopping center. 
• 'My nerves were shot': Fairfax County school board member outraged over no crossing guards (wjla.com) — Families near Centreville High School should know that Fairfax County eliminated crossing guards at several high schools, including Centreville, to save nearly $1.9 million. A school board member says traffic has become "chaotic and dangerous" and is urging county supervisors to restore these basic safety positions around campuses.
