2. F-117 Nighthawk Joins National Air And Space Museum Collection (aero-news.net) — A famed F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter is coming to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly this October, giving local residents a rare chance to see a combat-tested aircraft up close. Nicknamed "The Overachiever," it flew in four major conflicts and will now become a permanent part of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum collection.
   

3. Caterpillar to Deploy Autonomous 775 Trucks at Luck Stone Sites (equipmentworld.com) — Autonomous dump trucks are already hard at work at Luck Stone's Bull Run quarry in Chantilly, where Caterpillar's self-driving 777 has safely hauled millions of tons since 2024. Now the company is expanding the technology to additional Virginia quarries, aiming to boost safety, consistency, and efficiency through AI-powered equipment and new robotics collaborations.
   

4. Westfield fends off late Langley rally to stay unbeaten (fairfaxtimes.com) — Westfield's football team stayed unbeaten with a tight 35-28 win over Langley, setting up a challenging stretch that includes Langley's upcoming games against Chantilly and Oakton. For Chantilly fans, that matchup will pit the Chargers against a Saxons squad that just pushed one of the region's top teams to the brink.
   

5. Planned Saturday protest seeks end to ongoing deportation flights at RIC (henricocitizen.com) — Immigration enforcement in Virginia now includes detainee transfers through a Chantilly ICE center, affecting families from the Richmond region and beyond. Activists are organizing protests at Richmond International Airport, while local residents share wrenching stories of loved ones detained, transferred, or deported under expanded federal funding and aggressive removal targets.
